GET THE LEAD OUT!
LEAD INSPECTION
IS YOUR FAMILY SAFE? It is essential that older homes be tested for lead. The federal government banned the use of lead-based paint in 1978. 69 percent of Pennsylvania homes were built before 1978. So, roughly 86 percent of the homes in the City of Philadelphia were constructed before 1978. Lead Paint and dust particles are extremely dangerous to the health of your family. Lead dust particles creates lifelong health problems for both children and adults. Paint in older buildings can contain lead as this was used as pigments in the paint itself and was also used as pre-preparation in primer paints. Deteriorated paint is considered any paint that is chipping, chalking, cracking, peeling and bubbling.
